After nearly three years of development, we're excited to finally launch the Kickstarter for the Core Rule Book. It's been an amazing ride writing, designing, and playtesting this game with so many at conventions, game stores, and home games over that time. But now it's time to make this a reality.
Help us publish the book and get it into your hands. Back us on Kickstarter. Tell your friends about the game. Share it on social media (there are social goals as well as monetary). Anything you can do to help us get the word out about this would be greatly appreciated. We'll have more updates in the coming days.

Look for us this weekend at ETX WA. We'll be there alongside many other amazing game designers showing off our latest creations. They'll be plenty of tournaments, side games, creators, artists and more. The expo will also play host for the Luci Awards again this year. They will award the best board games in the NW on Saturday. It's always a fun event.
We will be running demos of IDENTECO all day Saturday and Sunday. Look for us on the schedule and look for the giant robot banner by our tables. Come roll dice with us and have a great time. You can learn more about the event on ETX's website as well as purchase tickets and see all the schedules. https://etxwa.com/ We're excited to announce that we'll be playing four exclusive games of IDENTECO at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, WA. ON March 3rd & 4th come and play a two-hour mission of the game alongside the co-creators. It's one of our last live play appearances before we publish the core rule book later this year.
This year we'll be joining our friends of PlaytestNW in the Corral room on the 2nd floor of the Washington State Convention Center. We'll also have copies of In Defiance of Chaos on hand if you haven't picked up your copy yet. As with all our live game, seating is first-come but you can reserve a spot at the table by signing up on our list here. Please make sure if you sign up that arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can start to get you seated in time to play your game. We hope to see you around the table. We wanted to take a second to thank everyone who watched the stream, donated, and encouraged us along the way. With your help we raised almost $900 for Seattle Children’s Hospital, and MUSC Children’s Hospital.
During the night we playtested a 6-hour mission that we’re going to continue developing in the future. Unfortunately, if you didn’t catch the live game of IDENTECO, then you just missed it. The computer we were using to broadcast and record the ate the recording towards the end of the session and we weren’t able to recover it. Keep an eye out in the future, though. We might run it against at a later day and broadcast it. by Shawn
The Summer convention season is coming to a close, but we have at least two more cons that we'll be attending and running games at. If you haven't heard by now, IDENTECO will be at both Dragonflight and PAX West 2016. There are just a few seats left at our tables for Dragonflight. Online signups closed today so we know that we've filled a good number of spots. If you haven't signed up don't panic, come into the main hall and proceed to our table immediately when you arrive. We'll have paper signup forms there to reserve your space at the table. If we get too many people, maybe the coordinators will be nice let us break out a second table. We'll try to be as accommodating as possible. You can find the full event list for Dragonflight 2016 here. We'll see you starting on Saturday. PAX West 2016 We are thrilled to be exhibitors this year at PAX. This convention is one of the reasons I personally moved out to Seattle. (There are many reasons, but this one certainly doesn't hurt). We are going to do a similar sign up sheet for PAX. We'll post that very soon both here and all over our social media. The tabletop gaming area is again back at Olive8 for PAX. Your convention badges will be good towards entrance in these areas. We'll be with our friend's from PlaytestNW. Come and demo the game and get a chance to win some cool prizes. See you around the table! Written by Shawn I have said that motto to many people over the years. In fact, when Alex and I first decided to start this company and start making games, I told him to embrace. It's a challenge to anyone trying to create something for a living, and one that has to be faced head on. An old, old friend and awesome creator named Emerican Johnson recently sat down with me for a show he does called "Long Way Up." We talk a lot about getting into the business, "embracing the grind...", and learning a few things the hard way. This was a blast, by the way. Essentially what you're about to listen to is two friends who, because of our mutual careers, have not had the chance to really sit down and talk in a long while. So there is a portion of this show (and much more that didn't make it into the final edit) of just us catching up. Stick with it, though. It gets good. Come join us for two days of Sci-fi and Fantasy stories at Norwescon in SeaTac, Wasghington. We will be demoing the game at the convention on March 26-27, in SeaTac, Washington. Norwescon is the Pacific Northwest’s Premier Science Fiction and Fantasy convention and we cannot be more excited to be a part of the event this year. We'll have two dedicated tables running all weekend. Join us for some dice rolling and get a feel for the game before the beta is launched. In addition to playing the game, you'll be able to get on the list to receive the first copies of the playtest packet in your inbox.
More details about location and timing, as well as pre-game signups, will be available next week. Stay tuned!
If you're here, you might have seen that Humanoid Games is sponsoring the Jet City Comic Show in Tacoma, Washington. We are extremely excited to help some of our friends out with the show. More importantly, we're going to be debuting the IDENTECO RPG at the show and running demos all day long both days. Additionally, if you've been keeping up with our social media accounts you know that we've been working on something a little special to bring to the show. We'll announce more about it as we get closer.
If you haven't already purchased a ticket to the show, you can go to Jet City Comic Show's website and get advanced passes. They still have some two-day passes available. It's going to be great show. We hope to see you there! MalloMan, out. By Alex
Of all of the various types and cultures within greater geekdom, tabletop role playing games have always been at the top of the list for me. I picked up my first 20-sider at 9 years old. I've played everywhere and anywhere. In bars, friends basements and even in the back of a Humvee in Baghdad (true story; one for another time). Tabletop has always held a special place in my heart. Some of my best memories come from tabletop RPG's and some of the best friends I have had over the last 23 years have come from the table. Some time ago, Shawn and I decided we didn't want to just be players or GM's anymore, we wanted to add our voices to this wonderful hobby, build our own world. Building a new world is more difficult than I had originally believed it would be when Shawn and I conceived of doing this. We were standing in line for a panel at PAX and somehow we got onto the topic of tabletop genres we loved and both us felt that it had been a long time since we had seen a tabletop RPG in the Cyberpunk genre that was an full package we could get behind. So, we said, why not, let's give it a shot. I had spent many years pulling together home brew worlds, smashing together my favorite concepts and characters from classic sci-fi and fantasy. It all seemed so simple. I had modified highly complex rule systems and had played more different systems than I could count off the top of my head in my twenty plus years of gaming. How hard could it be? Beyond what I could have even conceived. We thought it would be simpler since we were just basing this on a future version of Earth...nope, not the case. We stared with an amorphous idea of a new type of cyberpunk. One where we could use our game to talk about things going on in our world right now, provide a deep and engaging story that would provide GM's with ample material to craft adventures from while making things explode at the same time. We believe it's time for a new game. One that pushes the narrative farther and deeper, with enough of what we all know and love from gaming to still be the hobby that we love. Hopefully we have achieved what we set out to accomplish; a future world with a deep and engaging story, plus cool weapons and stuff to play with. |
